    Mylio is a platform for organizing, managing, protecting, and sharing digital photos. The software was first developed by Mylio, LLC in 2012 by CEO and founder David Vaskevitch to consolidate and archive photos, videos, and PDFs in a synchronized local library that works on Windows, macOS, Android, iPadOS, and iOS devices.[1]

    Architecture

    Mylio is built on a peer-to-peer architecture in which a user’s devices – computers, phones, tablets, and hard drives – cooperate with each other and don’t depend on a single server to keep the whole system running.

    In this way, Mylio synchronizes a media library across all connected devices and keeps up with additions, changes, or deletions made on those devices.[2] Original photos are stored on one or more of those devices; the other devices store optimized versions of photos.[3] The optimized versions are dynamically linked to the originals and provide visual fidelity, non-destructive editing, metadata manageme
